Although poker players in the US don’t have as many options as the rest of the world, there are still a number of networks that continue to offer poker to US players. The main networks are, Revolution, Merge, Bovada and Winning. Each network has positive and negative aspects. It is up to the player to decide the best place for them.

Revolution

The Revolution Poker Network is the largest available to US players. They cater to both recreational and serious players.

The games at Revolution are more difficult than average. There are a few reasons for this. They allow players to use a heads-up display (HUD) and track their played hand histories. A HUD is a feature that many serious players take advantage of, it displays opponent tendencies on the screen for a player to interpret and use to their advantage. Sites that allow HUDs typically have more difficult games than networks that don’t.

Revolution doesn’t place a limit on how many tables a player can play. This attracts winning players as they can maximize their winnings by increasing the number of tables they play.

One unique feature Revolution recently implemented is Fair Play technology. Fair Play classifies players base on their skill level and allows them to play against players near their skill level.

Bovada

Bovada is the 2nd largest network that accepts US players.

The games at Bovada are much easier than average. Their ban on HUDs, anonymous tables and table limits are responsible for this.

Bovada does not allow players to use popular HUD software such as Hold’em Manager or PokerTracker.

When a player sits at a table they are assigned a random number instead of displaying a user name. This stops winning players from choosing who they want to play and forces people to play against random opponents.

The maximum amount of tables a player can play at once is 4. Many other networks have players that play as many as 24 tables at once. Winning players that play a large amount of tables win a large amount of money and since they are seated at a lot of tables, many people are forced to play them.

Merge and Winning

The Merge network is the 3rd largest network available to US players.

They offer players the choice of 35% RB or the VIP Program. It is possible to earn more than 35% RB if a player reaches the top tiers of the VIP Program.

One unique feature is that they do not allow players to send transfers to other players.

The Winning network is the smallest network available to US players but they have very nice features and promotions.

They have a Bad Beat Jackpot (BBJ) which pays out to any player seated at a BBJ table that loses with quad 8s or better.

They offer the choice of 27% RB or being on their VIP Program. Like Merge, it is possible to earn more than 27% RB if a player reaches the top levels of the program.

One of the best features available to US players, is the debit card cash-out option. Players can pay a small fee and will receive a debit card in the mail which they can request cash-outs to. As most US players know, cash-outs are difficult in the current environment and a player can wait weeks or even months for their money. Debit card cash-outs are taking only 3-5 days! This is perhaps one of the best features available to Winning players.
